Confirm Pumping and Cleaning Scope
Ask whether the quote includes pumping, controlled wash-down, access work and filter cleaning. These tasks are related but do not always have identical pricing or equipment needs.
Protect the Tank and Fittings
Concrete, fiberglass and polyethylene tanks have different condition concerns. Use methods suited to partitions, seams, baffles and outlet components rather than treating higher pressure as the goal.
Review Outlet Restrictions
A dirty filter or damaged outlet fitting can restrict flow even when the tank shell remains usable. Inspect accessible parts and explain any separate component repair.
Commercial Residue and Grease
Identify the business activity and whether the equipment is a septic tank, grease interceptor or another component. Grease-bearing waste and specialized facilities need their own service plan.
Prevent the Next Buildup
Keep wipes, grease and inappropriate chemicals out of the system, repair running fixtures and keep maintenance records. Repeated cleaning calls deserve a review of wastewater use and downstream performance.
